We don’t normally do any social or political posting here, but the loss of life in Orlando in the worst mass shooting of our country’s history cannot be ignored. So we will go off topic briefly for one blog, because when you think about it, it’s really not that far off topic.
You will notice we did not comment on social media about the tragedy in Orlando. That doesn’t mean we don’t grieve for those that lost their lives or were injured Sunday night at the Pulse nightclub. We, like everyone else, are devastated by this criminal act. However, as a business, we did not feel it was our place to comment on the situation. We know that we are often a diversion from real life or reality, so we will continue to provide that diversion from the saturation of coverage of and commentary on this tragedy from all around.
Our hearts bleed for the families, loved ones, and friends of the victims during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the first responders who ran toward the carnage to prevent further loss of life and provide aid and comfort, as well as the hospital staffs that have tended to the injured and their families. We thank the generous individuals who have rallied around the Orlando community by donating blood, money and other resources.
Good will always overcome evil.
