Jill couldn’t wait to see Sarah for dinner at their favorite restaurant downtown. It feels like it has been forever since the two of them have gotten together. They both have been so busy with their careers that coordinating schedules has been nearly impossible. But tonight they finally made it work.

Jill waited outside the restaurant for Sarah. She saw Sarah first, and they both squealed and then hugged tight.

“I feel like it’s been ages since we’ve seen each other,” said Jill.

“I know,” said Sarah. “We’ve both been on the crazy career roller coaster.”

“It’s so good to see you!”

“I’ve missed you my friend! Now let’s go inside; I’m starving.”

They headed into the restaurant. Because they had reservations, they were seated right away. Jill had asked for a table in a corner away from the busiest parts of the restaurant, so they could have some privacy as they caught up on each other’s lives. They settled in with glasses of wine and calamari to start.

“So fill me in on life, girl. What’s new?” Jill asked.

“It’s the same old, same old,” said Sarah. “I’m working all the time, and when I’m not working, I try to rest and recover. So I basically really don’t have a life.”

“I hear ya! Work has been brutal. They have me constantly on the go traveling for meetings.”

“Anything new on the romance front?”

“Are you kidding?” asked Sarah. “When would I have time for romance with my schedule?”

“I know what you mean. When I’m off work, I feel a bit like I’m all dressed up with nowhere to go. Do you know what I’m saying?” asked Jill.

“Totally, Girl. That’s the story of my life,” said Sarah.

“Wouldn’t it be nice if we could have a boyfriend just when we needed one, without all of the headaches?

“Exactly. We need the ‘boyfriend experience’ without the real deal.”

Jill gasped. “That’s it exactly! We need to feel like we have boyfriends without all the responsibility and commitment that comes along with it.”

“Well, in reality, we can have that. I’ll share something with you if you promise to keep it a secret,” said Sarah.

“Absolutely! Now you have my curiosity up. What is it?” asked Jill.

“We can have our cake and eat it too,” said Sarah.

“What do you mean?” asked Jill.

“There is an agency called Cowboys 4 Angels that gives the ultimate boyfriend experience!”

“Ooooh! Sounds interesting. Tell me all about it!” said Jill.

“Cowboys 4 Angels makes dreams come true,” Sarah explained. “They have gorgeous, buff men in 14 different cities around the country, and their sole mission is to treat you like a queen.”

“Sounds too good to be true. Have you tried it?” asked Jill.

“Well, can you keep another secret?” Sarah asked.

“Come on! You know I can,” Jill answered. “I have so many of your secrets under lock and key, I could write one hell of a biography about you!”

“That’s true,” Sarah laughed. “Yes, I tried it, and I loved it so much that I’ve used them several times now.”

“Oh now I definitely need to hear more!” said Jill.

“I felt like I won the boyfriend jackpot.”

“How can that be if you don’t even know the person? Did it feel like a real date?” asked Jill.

“It felt like a real date, only much better. Actually, I’d have to say it felt like the ideal date. If you can dream it up, the agency and the amazing Cowboys can make it happen,” said Sarah.

“I just want a night of romance. I want to go to the opera and then head to a quiet, fancy dinner afterward. I know it may sound silly but I want the guy to hold my hand as we find our seats at the opera. I want him to….”

“You want him to treat you the way you deserve to be treated.”

“Yes. Was that how your date treated you?”

“My Cowboy was drop dead gorgeous, had a body to die for, and was such a gentleman,” said Sarah.

“So what did you two do together?”

“We went to my sister’s big 40^th birthday bash. Her husband threw this giant party in their fancy condo. All of the guests were couples, so I knew I’d stick out like a sore thumb if I didn’t have a date.”

“I totally get that!” Jill exclaimed.

“I didn’t want to be the one single gal at the party and have everybody patronize and pity me, so I rented a date. However, I got so much more.”

“What do you mean?” asked Jill. “What was the night like?”

“We made the rounds when we first got there and greeted everybody. I introduced him as my new boyfriend.”

“Did people buy it?”

“Sure. He played the part so well. He was attentive, romantic and laser focused on me. I mean, don’t get me wrong, he talked to other people there, but I was his focus, and it felt really good. He was educated and well-traveled, and we spent a lot of time on the balcony talking about our careers and various interests. They actually had to call us in to sing Happy Birthday to my sister.”

“Sounds like an amazing time!”

“It was! He held my hand, got me drinks, kissed my neck, and just made me feel really special. I haven’t felt like that in a really long time.”

“I’m definitely calling Cowboys Angels to set up my ideal romantic date!” exclaimed Jill.

Jill’s phone rang. When she answered, she could hear Sarah’s voice on the other end.

“Tell me everything, girlfriend,” said Sarah.

“Oh my gosh, it was amazing!”

“I want all the details!”

“It was exactly like the fantasy I envisioned. He picked me up, and we were both dressed to the nines. I wore my fancy black, beaded dress and he wore a tux!”

“Seriously?”

“Yes. He even brought me a bouquet of roses!”

“Really? That is so romantic.”

“We went to the opera, and he was such a gentleman holding the doors for me and holding my hand during the performance,” said Jill. “Then we went for our fancy romantic dinner, and after we ate, he fed me chocolate covered strawberries.”

“Oooooh. Nice touch. That means he wanted you.”

“I know. And believe me, I wanted him too,” said Jill.

“Well…?” asked Sarah.

“Well what?”

“Did you?”

“Did I what?” asked Jill.

“You know what I’m asking!” exclaimed Sarah.

“I’ll never kiss and tell. I’ll just simply say that he was the perfect date who absolutely hit the right spot!”

“So I guess that means we’ll both continue using Cowboys 4 Angels?”

“Absolutely!  Maybe we should schedule a double date!”
