Maggie and Robin have been friends for years, going all the way back to college. Work kept them both busy, so catching up could be difficult, but tonight they were finally meeting for dinner at their favorite restaurant downtown. They headed into the restaurant. Because they had reservations, they were seated right away. Maggie had asked for a table in a corner away from the busiest parts of the restaurant, so they could have some privacy as they caught up on each other’s lives. They settled in with glasses of wine and calamari to start.

“So fill me in on life, girl. What’s new?” Maggie asked.

“It’s the same old, same old,” said Robin. “I work all the time, and basically really don’t have a life.”

“I hear you on that front! Work has me constantly traveling right now.” “Anything new on the romance front?”
“Are you kidding?” asked Robin. “When would I have time for romance with my schedule?”

“Wouldn’t it be nice if we could have a boyfriend just when we needed one, without all of the headaches?

“Exactly. We need the ‘boyfriend experience’ without the real deal.”
Maggie gasped. “That’s it exactly! We need to feel like we have boyfriends without all the responsibility and commitment that comes along with it.”

“Well, in reality, we can have that,” said Robin.

“What do you mean?” asked Maggie.

“Sounds interesting. Tell me more!” said Maggie.

“Sounds too good to be true. Have you tried it?” asked Maggie.
“Well, can you keep another secret?” Robin asked.

“Come on! You know I can,” Maggie answered. “I have so many of your secrets I have kept over the years, I could have one hell of a blackmail dossier!”

“That’s true,” Robin laughed. “Yes, I have tried them, and they are everything they claim to be. I liked it so much that I’ve used them several times now.”

“Was it awkward?” asked Maggie.

“No, not at all. It felt like a real date, only better. Actually, I’d have to say it felt like the ideal date. If you can dream it up, the agency and the amazing Cowboys can make it happen,” said Robin.

“I would love a night of romance.”

“My Cowboy was drop dead gorgeous, had a body to die for, and was such a gentleman,” said Robin.

“So what did you two do together?”

“We went to my big corporate party. I knew all of the guys would bring their wives and I’d stick out like a sore thumb if I was alone.”

“I understand that! I feel the same way at our corporate gigs.” Maggie said.

“I didn’t want to be the one single lady and have everybody look at me with pity, so I rented a date. However, I got so much more.”

“What do you mean?” asked Maggie. “What was the night like?”

“We made the rounds when we first got there and greeted everybody. I introduced him as my new boyfriend.”

“Did people buy it?”

“Sure. He played the part so well. He was attentive, romantic and laser focused on me. I mean, don’t get me wrong, he talked to my coworkers, but I was his focus, and it felt really good. He was educated and well-traveled, and we spent a lot of time talking about our careers and various interests.

“Sounds like an amazing time!”

“It was! He held my hand, got me drinks, kissed my neck, and just made me feel really special. I haven’t felt like that in a really long time.”

“I’m definitely calling Cowboys Angels to set up my ideal romantic date!” exclaimed Maggie.

Maggie’s phone rang. When she answered, she could hear Robin’s voice on the other end.

“Tell me everything!” said Robin.

“Just like you said, it was amazing! It was like every fantasy I have ever envisioned. He picked me up, and we were both dressed to the nines. We had an amazing dinner and then went dancing.”

“Was he a good dancer?”

“Absolutely!

“See, I told you they were all about the experience.”

“He was such a gentleman holding the doors for me and holding my hand through the night,” said Maggie. “He really felt like my boyfriend.”

“Well…?” asked Robin.

“Well what?”

“Did you treat him like your boyfriend?”

“What do you mean?” asked Maggie.

“You know what I’m asking!” exclaimed Robin.

“I’ll never kiss and tell. I’ll just simply say that he was the perfect date who absolutely hit the right spot!”

“So I guess we both plan to continue using Cowboys 4 Angels?”

“Absolutely!  Maybe we should schedule a double date!
