A Christmas Eve Date
Going home for the holidays was always a bittersweet event to plan for. On the one hand, Rachel was excited to see her immediate and extended family, spend time with family members and childhood friends she typically did not see except for one time each year during the holidays. However, on the other hand, the high profile journalist, who lived a fast-paced life as a public figure and household name, often found it difficult to find time away from the demands of her life in Los Angeles, disconnect from that life and connect with her small town, Midwestern roots. Although, if there was as good a time as any to do so, this was the year! 2018 proved to be one of her most successful, and hardest-working years to-date, and while her professional life continued to flourish, her personal life was the fallout, seeming to pretty much crash, burn and die on the sidelines. Thinking about arriving to her family’s Christmas festivities all by her lonesome, seemed like a scene out of a cheesy Christmas movie, and she had no intentions of falling for the local sheriff, or an old high school flame. Therefore, Rachel decided to take matters into her own hands, as she usually did in her career, yet channeling that same attitude and work ethic into the personal romance and companionship department. Rachel searched through her purse to find the Cowboys4Angels business card she’d acquired from a friend several weeks ago, because she was about to book a male companion to bring as her Christmas Eve date with her family!
Due to the never-ending deadlines and pressures of her job, the only way Rachel was able to make it home this year for the holidays was to leave on Christmas Eve and return the day after Christmas, and even though it was going to be an abbreviated trip this year, she knew her parents would manage to cram as many people of their extended family, friends and neighbors into the home, parading them through on a rotating basis, to see their famous daughter. Typically, she’d have the buffer of her ex-husband, yet since she was clearly not going to be bringing him along anymore, since their divorce was finalized earlier this year, she knew there was no way she could survive the Christmas holiday alone, fielding and attempting to avoid the loads of questions about her life, awkward favors to connect someone with an agent or record company executive for some brother’s best friend’s neighbor, no doubt. This year, she needed to have a handsome, charming man with her, to help keep her calm, cool and collected, while working the room with her. Rachel had been wanting to book a date with a male companion from the elite, straight male companion agency for weeks now, and just hadn’t been able to make it happen, but now she knew this was her chance! The ever-inquisitive, journalistic mind kicked into high gear, and while she was coordinating all of the aspects of the date with the Booking Agent, Rachel was overjoyed and completely pleased as each of her questions was answered totally to her satisfaction. By the end of her correspondence, the flights were booked, the male companion was booked, all of the details confirmed, and all that was left was for her to show up at the airport and meet Jimmy, her new male companion, AKA boyfriend as far as her family was concerned, so they could embark on their trip beginning with a Christmas Eve Date!
Everything down to the minute details of the backstory Rachel had quickly come up with a couple of days before their departure to Indiana, was seamlessly executed by one fo the most gorgeous, sophisticated and charismatic men she had ever been in the company of. Jimmy was strapping, he dressed to impress, but didn’t overdo it, he was personable and warm with her family, even her dad, the toughest customer of all, took a keen liking to him almost immediately! The two worked the crowds of extended family and friends, to the point that Rachel realized she was actually having an amazing time! It felt effortless to keep up the appearance that she and her male companion enjoyed each other’s company so much so that they were a believable couple, because it almost felt real to her even! Not only was Jimmy too cute for words with her elderly relatives and children, yet he was romantic every chance he got with her, whether it was an arm around her shoulder, sweet and thoughtful Christmas presents for her or sharing intimate moments during their sporadically sparse moments alone together, everything was unfolding exponentially better than she ever could have planned or hoped. As quickly as the trip began with her unforgettable Christmas Eve date, it concluded just as fast and the two were back on the airplane, headed home to Los Angeles, but before the plane touched down in LA, Rachel had her next date with Jimmy booked and she was ready to spend some more time with the incredible male companion!
