As Sonya pulled into the valet line of the Willard Hotel, she breathed a sigh of relief. It had been a long six-hour drive to Washington, DC, but she made it safely and now could start to relax. She loved this city during the holidays. She could always count on the hum and buzz of the city to recharge her batteries. Most people like to spend their vacations in quiet places where they do nothing but lay on the beach. Not Sonya. She much preferred the excitement of the city. There was something electric about it.

Whether walking the quaint streets of Old Town Alexandria, or walking The Mall at night and seeing all of the monuments aglow, Washington, DC had a vibe all its own. That’s why Sonya made her pilgrimage here every year for vacation. She needed the buzz of the city to energize her after months of working 60-hour weeks. Only this year, her vacation would be a little different. For the first time in four years, she wouldn’t be alone for her annual weekend getaway. She had arranged with Cowboys 4 Angels for a male companion from New York City to accompany her on this trip. Instead of being alone for the weekend with her own thoughts, she would have Collin on her arm as the perfect companion to explore the city. He would arrive in time for dinner, so she had some time to relax before getting ready.

Her room was pristine as always. She always loved the white, fluffy, down-filled linens on the beds at the Willard. It made her feel as if she was lying on a cloud, and a short nap would be the perfect way to recover from her long drive. As she drifted off to sleep, visions of Collin danced in her head with his dark hair and green eyes.

As she slowly woke from her nap, Sonya stretched like a cat. The bed cradled her softly, making it tempting to stay snuggled in the warmth of the sheets. But she had a date with a Cowboy tonight, so no time for being lazy. She grabbed a quick shower and got ready for dinner.

Just as she finished slipping her shoes on, she heard the knock at the door. Sonya smiled to herself. My Cowboy has arrived! As she opened the door, she was struck by how handsome Collin was. And tall! His pictures didn’t do him justice. She found herself getting lost in the twinkle of his green eyes as he greeted her with a smile and a rose. She definitely made the right choice for an companion agency.

She grabbed her coat, and Collin took her hand as they headed out for dinner. They stepped out into the chilly air. Luckily it wasn’t far to walk to Old Ebbit Grill, the iconic DC restaurant close to the White House where tourists and politicians dine. As they waited to be shown to their table, Collin rubbed Sonya’s arm to help her warm up.

Dinner passed quickly as they chatted quietly about the history of the restaurant. It was definitely a great venue for people watching. You never know who you might see there. Sonya was fascinated to hear about Collin’s modeling career and conservation work to protect big cats. She loved his accent, and listening to him was like magic. She just got lost in his voice. They toasted the evening with a glass of Merlot while Sonya dined on their signature jumbo lump crab cakes and Collin had the braised beef short rib. To finish the meal, they shared a crème brulee.

Pushing through the heavy wood doors, they walked back out into the chilly night air. Sonya felt a chill go through her. Collin wrapped his arm around her to protect her from the chill. Sonya no longer felt cold as they walked. Instead she felt a heat deep within her that she hadn’t felt in a very long time.

They decided to walk along The Mall to view the monuments and National Christmas Tree. Collin kept his arm around her as they walked. Sonya leaned into her as they discussed the significance of each monument and admired the holiday decorations scattered throughout the city.

Sonya was glad when they finally made it back to the hotel, as the cold was beginning to make her shiver. Inside the room, Sonya hesitated to take off her jacket. Collin helped her with her coat, draping it on the chair, and proceeding to rub the full length of her arms to warm her. Sonya leaned back into Collin’ chest, his warm breath on her chilled neck as he caressed her. Her heart raced and her skin flushed as she warmed all over. His lips brushed her ear, and an electric spark shot through her. As Sonya turned toward Collin, he slipped his hands behind her back, cradling her in his arms. The rest of the room faded to black and all Sonya saw was his mesmerizing, emerald green eyes glimmering as he leaned into her. Intense heat coursed through her body creating a fire in her core that radiated and blanketed them both as the night faded.

As Sonya blinked against the morning light, she saw Collin arranging her breakfast on the small coffee table. She smiled at her chivalrous Cowboy.

“Breakfast awaits, my lady.”

Sonya wrapped the robe around her as she settled down to eggs, bacon and toast. The coffee cleared the fog from her head, and she was ready to tackle the day. The day was a blur filled with museums, art and the shops of Old Town Alexandria. Collin was attentive, protective, and even helped to carry packages from their shopping adventure.

After a quick dinner, they were ready to hit the town, and Sonya knew just the place. They headed to Ultrabar, the go-to venue for any nightlife enthusiast in Washington, DC, fusing the appeal of an ultra exclusive lounge and a high-energy nightclub. The five-floor club is housed in a historic bank building and perfectly blends old and new together in one atmosphere. After spending a little bit of time dancing on the main floor, Sonya and Collin headed to the more private Mezzanine to take a break. They cuddled on the couch, ordering drinks from the private bar, and occasionally checking out the people on the main floor below.

Finally they headed to the Bedroom Bar on the second floor. There Sonya and Collin swayed and stepped to the Latin music, their bodies intertwined in an intimate rhythm. They took a break and headed to the room-length window overlooking the city street below, where Collin whispered sweet nothings in Spanish in her ear. They headed back to the hotel for their own private salsa dance.

Sonya had six hours to relive the past two days in her mind as she drove home. This drive would fly by! Cowboys truly are the best male companions in the business. Collin had been the ultimate companion, more than she could have ever hoped for. She couldn’t wait until her next vacation!

Macy was definitely going to enjoy this weekend getaway to New York City. After working crazy hours for the past six months to close the biggest deal of her career, she was absolutely burned out. She was looking forward to recharging with the excitement and buzz of the city, especially during this holiday season.

As she settled into her hotel room, her mind wandered to the greatest gift of this weekend – the male companion she arranged through Cowboys 4 Angels. Her wild work schedule didn’t leave much time for meeting new people, let alone dating, and she did not want to spend the weekend by herself. Cowboys 4 Angels was an easy answer to her dilemma. She was looking forward to enjoying the city with Hunter at her side. He is a fine specimen of a man with emerald green eyes that Macy looks forward to getting lost in.

As she finished touching up her makeup, she heard the knock at her door, and her heart skipped a beat. Time to get out and enjoy the city! As they glided across the ice, Macy felt Hunter slide his hand around her waist to help keep her steady. She leaned against him, drinking in the smell of his cologne. After a while, the cold had Macy shivering. Hunter took her hands in his and blew on them to help warm them up. Macy felt herself get warm all over.

They grabbed a quick hot chocolate before their walk. As they strolled hand-in-hand around the plaza looking at the window displays and tree, Macy felt completely relaxed for the first time in months. As she soaked in the scenery nestled against Hunter, she could feel herself getting into the Christmas spirit.

They arrived back at the hotel, and Macy could feel the drain of the day’s activities on her. She leaned on Hunter as they rode the elevator up to the room. One inside, she slipped off her boots. That little bit of ice skating had her feeling sore. To soothe her aching muscles, Hunter massaged her shoulders and neck and then her feet. Macy felt like her whole body was on fire. Squinting to adjust to the morning light filtering through the curtains, Macy stretched to finish the waking process. As she did, she could see across the room Hunter had breakfast all ready for her. He had a full schedule of activities planned for the day, so she was going to need her energy.

The day was a whirlwind as they toured the 9-11 Memorial and took in an afternoon performance of The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. After a brief stop at the hotel to change for dinner, the headed out to the Bourbon Street Bar and Grille, followed by the Broadway musical Hamilton, which was absolutely fabulous. After the show, they strolled Times Square. The city was alive and buzzing, and Macy could literally feel the energy of the city in her. She felt safe exploring New York with Hunter at her side. They ended the night in a quaint little piano bar, listening to people who were clearly professionals sing.

They picked up dessert to take back to the room where they could relax. Snuggled together, they watch the twinkling of the city lights as they had a nightcap and ate their dessert. Hunter smoothed a strand of hair away from her eye and ran his finger across her lower lip to wipe a stray bit of chocolate. Macy’s insides melted. His smoldering eyes met hers and the heat flared around them. The rest of the city faded and Macy’s whole body flushed as the curtain closed on a day of fun and a night of pure romance.

In the taxi to the airport, Macy was already back into her work mode, making calls to line up her next deal. But she carried the relaxation of the weekend home with her as she remembered Hunter and the total bliss of her trip. She just might have to visit the Big Apple again sometime for another round of fun.

Cindy is 32-years-old and perpetually single. Every year at the holiday dinner, it’s the same thing. Everyone wants to know why she hasn’t settled down yet. Hey, she wants to settle down as much as the next person, but the right person hasn’t come along and she refuses to crack under the pressure of her family to settle down with just anyone.

Even though she is highly successful at work, it seems as if that’s not good enough. They only focus on the men, or lack thereof, in her life. And she is totally sick of the constant offers to set her up with someone.

Cindy decided that this year would be different. She was going to bring someone with her to the family dinner that would pretend to be her boyfriend and get her family off her back. But who? She’s not only doesn’t have a Mr. Right, she doesn’t even have a Mr. Right Now. And the only male friends she has are either gay or straight and taken.

Then she had a stroke of genius: She would hire someone to pose as her boyfriend for the night. She had just read about an companion agency named Cowboys  4 Angels, and their guys were gorgeous. Surely one of them would help shut her family up.

She could have gone on Tinder or picked someone up at a bar. She could have even asked one of her gay friends to accompany her and fake being a straight guy for the night — but none of those options guaranteed the necessary quality.  She had to have someone on her arm who would blow her family away and quiet them for good.

She chose Jerome. An international model in New York City, he has an amazing background that would impress everyone, plus he is drop dead gorgeous. As a model, he’s an easy half foot taller than me, standing at an impressive 6’3” with a chiseled jaw and body.

Still, she had to admit, they would make an awesome looking faux couple.

Cindy took the time to get Jerome up to speed on her family and life. Fortunately, he didn’t run for the hills. He was hers for the evening.

“You’re sweet,” he said. “You shouldn’t have to do this.”

“I don’t have to,” she said. “I want to, or else I’ll have to deal with my family’s meddling questions every year.”

They approached her grandparents’ home where the family dinner always happens. Some of her cousins were standing outside, and she thought their jaws would hit the ground. It was hard not to giggle. Cindy went down the line and introduced her date. They shook Jerome’s hand in awe and approval.

After taking their seats at the table, a steady stream of food and wine began to flow. Cindy scanned the room in search of clues that might have threatened her credibility: a snicker here, maybe a weird stare there. There were none. And then she realized something: Her plan was actually working.

Jerome was being incredibly smooth…in a great way. He was the kind of guy who could handle a crowd of people, making each individual feel special. She even found him easily chatting up her father and Uncle Ted after dinner. Cindy could tell he remembered much of what she had told him about her family. When the evening started to wind down, Cindy’s uncle pulled her aside. “I’m proud of you,” he said. “You found someone really cool to date for a change.”

There it was: the validation Cindy had craved. It was ear candy. It was the kind of acceptance Cindy had never received before, and the truth didn’t detract from her satisfaction.

They decided to leave the gathering on a high note while they could. They waved goodbye to Cindy’s family, and Jerome grabbed her hand. He locked his fingers into hers; it felt nice. And though she didn’t look back, she knew everyone was watching them leave.

Warmed by the sun and feel exhilarated, Liz headed back to the hotel to get ready. Her focus now was on unwinding and relaxing, and as she slipped into the shower, her thoughts drifted to the Cowboy she soon would meet.

As Liz was putting the finishing touches on her lipstick, she heard the knock on her door, and her heart skipped a beat. Time to meet her male companion for the next couple days. When she opened the door, her breath caught in her throat. Blake’s pictures didn’t do him justice. In person, he was even more striking as his tall frame leaned casually against the doorway in dark slacks and a light blue shirt, extending a rose out to her. She swore she felt electricity when her hand brushed his as she accepted the flower. She grabbed her purse, Blake took her hand, and they were off for the evening.

Blake opened the door of the car and gently closed it once she had settled into her seat. Technology was something they had in common, so they chatted easily about that and the area as they drove to dinner. The conversation flowed so easily it felt as if she was with an old friend. Before she knew it, they were pulling up to The Resort at Pelican Hill. He took her hand to help her out of the car and slipped his arm around the small of her back as they walked into the restaurant. Once again she felt the electricity go through her.

They toasted her client success with a glass of wine as they shared seared scallops. They dined on amazing pasta dinners with gelato as dessert. Liz was feeling the effects of the day and the wine combined. As they drove back to the hotel, she relaxed into her seat, enjoying view during the drive as well as the view of Blake in the driver’s seat.

She leaned against him in the elevator as they made their way back to her room. She truly was feeling relaxed. Before the door even clicked closed, Liz was slipping her shoes off to further relax. Blake poured them each a drink. They stood on the balcony looking at the water and lights, and Liz swore she was in heaven. As they took in the night sky, Blake rubbed her shoulders, expertly massaging the day and the stress of months on the road out of her. She relaxed into the massage as the tingles in her body drowned out every other thought. As Blake wrapped her in his arms, the hot, damp air and sweet smell of his cologne were like a curtain closing on a day of dreams fulfilled.

Liz woke to the sight of Blake setting up breakfast. She marveled at how he seemed to know her every desire because all of her favorites were laid out before her. Energized with a granola, fruit and yogurt parfait and coffee, she was ready to start the day of sightseeing. Blake was an amazing guide, taking her to all of the hot spots in Orange County.

They started at Crystal Cove State Park, biking and hiking to the best lookout points. The sights were impressive, but they paled in comparison to the sight of Blake in his linen shorts and shirt by her side. She felt totally at ease in his company. Next they went to the impressive Crystal Cathedral, a structure comprised of more than 10,000 panes of glass. Liz was mesmerized as Blake rattled off facts about the building. He was so knowledgeable! As the day drew to a close, Liz found herself at Angel Stadium watching a free concert before the baseball game. Arm in arm, they swayed to the music. Liz was wishing this weekend would never end. At the game, they cheered on the Angels, and when a foul ball hurled toward their section, Blake expertly caught it and presented it to her as a souvenir. He was like a knight in shining armor, except he was impeccably dressed!

On the way back to the hotel, they stopped at Huntington Pier. They strolled hand in hand on the beach, gazing at the stars and listening to the waves crash against the shore. They discussed astronomy and oceanography and everything else imaginable. And when Liz caught a chill in the air and shivered, Blake drew her close to him, his arm wrapped around her like a blanket. She felt his breath on her ear as he whispered to her and his lips on her neck. The heat suddenly coursed through her and she felt slightly damp. The night air cooled her skin, while he heated her insides.

The drive back to the hotel was a blur. As she closed the door, he whispered in her ear. A fire consumed her, making the night as hot as the day. As she looked into his hazel eyes, his steamy glance ignited an inferno that begged to be quenched. The heat between them seemed to steam the room as the lights went out.

Liz leaned back in the seat as her flight left for home. She felt completely relaxed and refreshed. Nothing like a Cowboy encounter to help her keep a competitive edge.

We wrote a blog a little while ago about things men think women fib about in their dating profiles. Well guess what? Men do it too (say it isn’t so)! He are just a few cautions to look for in the dating profiles you review. A recent study done at Cornell University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison found that 80 percent of people using online dating sites lied about their height, weight, or age. Here are a few more things men tend to lie about when online.

His Job
Oh? You’re about to go out with a good-looking CEO of a booming start-up? Don’t be surprised if that means he has a great idea for an app and is working out of his parents’ garage. Most men have a tendency to inflate their titles or responsibilities in order to impress women. It’s not a great idea to ask about his salary, but a safe bet is to ask about his title and how large a company he works for. CEO is very impressive, but not if the company is him and his dog.

His Intention
Just because a man is on a dating site does not mean he’s looking for a long-term relationship. In fact, if you’re on Tinder, you should assume that the guy is trying to get laid and be pleasantly surprised when it turns out he wants to date you. Aside from certain apps like Heavenly Sinful, where you’re explicitly asked to say whether you want to hook up or date, the guy’s intention is often unknown.

His Height
On average, guys will say they are two inches taller than they actually are, and will assume you’re not going to bring a tape measure to the first date. If you’re curious, you can wait until his wallet’s open while paying for (at least his share) of the bill and say, “Oh! Let me see the photo on your driver’s license. Mine is horrible.” There, as clear as day, is his height (no one cares enough to lie to the DMV).

His Weight
Men (well, everyone) will post photos of themselves from when they are looking their physical best. So if you show up on date number one and the guy is looking twenty pounds overweight, don’t be shocked. If you’re lucky it may go the other way; he may have just recovered from breaking up with his long-term girlfriend and lost the gut men tend to accrue when they no longer feel they need to impress their partner. Now that he’s single he wants to look great. But the pessimist in me leans toward warning you that he may be a bit heavier than you imagined.

His Worldliness
He may say he loves to travel but that doesn’t guarantee he’s ever left the United States. He may say he knows a lot about wine but that might just mean he knows that he likes Pinot Noir. Don’t assume anything based on the guy’s stated hobbies or interests; just like his job description it is likely inflated and made to sound more sophisticated than it actually is.

His Relationship Status
I hate to say it, but even if a guy makes himself available on a dating site it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s there to seriously date. Single can mean anything from “haven’t had a girlfriend in five years and looking for sex” to “newly divorced and sad.” There are men who are going through a break-up (but it’s not quite over with their gf) or are in an open relationship and they are on these sites because it seems innocent enough, but they are not emotionally available to be with you.

His Age
One of the most common lies on dating profiles is a man fibbing about his age. More often than not he’s likely older than he is. If you’re in your early twenties and a man says he’s 29 there’s a chance he might actually be a 35 year-old who knows you would never date someone more than ten years your senior. If that’s your thing though, then search for men in that age range… but hope they’re not in their 40s.

There are some other things we would like to add to these cautions to keep you Angels safe. Don’t reveal too much information initially in your profile or initial correspondence. Cyber-stalking and cyber-bullying are on the rise. If you are going to meet someone new for the first time, we always recommend the initial meeting be in a public place for your safety and well being, especially since we won’t be there to protect you.

Cynthia arrived back at the hotel from her business meeting frazzled. She hadn’t planned on a trip to Austin, but the client wasn’t happy and was threatening to pull the plug on the deal. Hence she now found herself here in the South, far from the buzz and constant motion of New York City, and worn out from the short-notice trip and stress of the meeting she just finished with the client.

Fortunately, she was successful in smoothing their ruffled feathers to keep the deal in place, but since the meeting went so well, she now found herself facing an extra day in Austin with nothing to do. Cynthia contemplated moving her flight up to leave earlier and get back to the office but decided against that. Instead she would take the day tomorrow to do something completely out of the norm for her – relax. The 60-hour work weeks these past few months were taking their toll, and she needed a break. So she decided to take the day for herself and experience what Austin had to offer since she had never been here before.

Normally self-assured and confident, Cynthia suddenly felt unsure of herself. She was tired of always doing activities by herself. As a successful account executive, she had sacrificed her personal life climbing the corporate ladder, and when she was honest with herself, she reluctantly had to admit, she was lonely. She was too busy for the complications of a boyfriend in her life. Wouldn’t it be great if you could have a boyfriend that gave you what you needed and then disappeared? And Lord knows she has needs!

Then Cynthia remembered something her friend Gail had mentioned not too long ago. There was an agency that would provide a temporary boyfriend experience for a night, a weekend, or a week, whatever you needed, and they had some of the hottest male companions around. Cowboys4Angels.  Seems like an appropriate name given she found herself in Texas, land of the Cowboys. She quickly grabbed her computer to check if they had any companions in Austin. Yes, they did! Looking through the bios online, she decided Devlin would fit the bill perfectly for a male companion. Before she could talk herself out of it, she quickly dialed the number and made her appointment.

The knock on the hotel room door came just as Cynthia was putting the finishing touches on her makeup. She felt a shiver go down her spine and swore her whole body was tingling with anticipation. She smoothed her dress and literally glided across the room. The sight that greeted her when she opened the door left her speechless. Devlin was even better looking in person, and there he stood with a smile on his face and flowers in his hand, looking extremely handsome in his fitted dress pants and open-collar shirt. The tingles turned to lightning bolts inside her when Devlin took her hand and kissed it. This was going to be an experience to remember, Cynthia thought as they headed out.

The consummate gentleman, Devlin opened the car door for her and she slipped into the seat anticipating the night’s adventure. They chatted easily on the drive across town for dinner. Devlin’s eyes twinkled as he informed her he had already made dinner reservations for them at Perla’s Seafood and Oyster Bar. Wine and dinner flowed effortlessly like the conversation as they shared stories of their travel adventures. Since Cynthia was already feeling needy, the oysters definitely didn’t help that problem at all!

After dinner, they headed to SpeakEasy, a favorite nightclub in Austin. Devlin must have known all the right people to get them seated at a prime table on the rooftop patio with an amazing view of the city. There they cuddled, kissed and watched the bodies moving to the music on the dance floor. Devlin led Cynthia by the hand to the railing. It was like the entire city unfolded in front of them as they looked out. She felt Devlin’s arms encircle her waist as he kissed her neck in between pointing out Austin landmarks, and she leaned into his chest as her knees weakened with desire.

Arriving back at the hotel, Devlin companioned Cynthia back to her room for a nightcap. The electricity between them was palpable as they sipped their drinks. While sharing the molten chocolate cake they had brought back from the restaurant, Devlin caressed her lip with his finger to collect a stray dribble of chocolate sauce and licked it. Cynthia’s whole body was on fire as they locked in a steamy embrace.

As she fixed her hair in the mirror in the morning, Devlin wrapped his chiseled arms around Cynthia, and she couldn’t think of a single need left unmet the night before. Yet there were still more surprises in store. Devlin shared his fair city with Cynthia in a fabulous sight seeing adventure that took them through Mount Bonnell, LBJ Presidential Library, and HOPE Outdoor Gallery. Holding hands and strolling through the sights as if they had known each other forever, the day whizzed by in a blur. As the sun set on the city, they visited Foreign & Domestic, a local North loop restaurant known for its farm-to-table fare and unique location in an old skate shop. It was the perfect end to an amazing day.

As Cynthia stared out the plane window on her flight home, she replayed the past 36 hours in her mind. Maybe boyfriends aren’t so complicated after all. One thing was for sure. For all her needs, she’ll be getting a Cowboy!
